Thyracont is now a sponsor of wissenswerkstatt

The wissenswerkstatt in Passau has gained another sponsor in Thyracont Vacuum Instruments.

The sponsors support wiwe financially or with donations in kind to get children and young people interested in science and technology.

Whether “Small components with a big impact”, “The fascination of light” or “Electrons on the move”: wiwe’s catalog offers a wide range of courses for children from the age of eight, for example on the subjects of biology, automotive engineering, computer science or physics. This extensive range can only be realized with the financial support of regional partner companies. Thyracont Vacuum Instruments is now one of these partners.

“Computers, programming and a certain technical understanding are indispensable in the working world of tomorrow. This makes it all the more important to awaken the youth’s enthusiasm for science and technical subjects at an early age,” explains Thyracont Managing Director Frank P. Salzberger.

Gernot Hein, chairman of the wiwe sponsoring association, is delighted about the cooperation: “We are grateful for any form of support for our educational institution, as this is the only way we can constantly expand our range of courses with new content and formats. We warmly welcome Thyracont Vacuum Instruments to the circle of wiwe sponsors.

The wissenswerkstatt courses are aimed at both school classes and private visitors. Demand has been unbroken since the opening in 2013. To date, around 70,000 visitors have taken part in 6,225 courses.
