Maintenance of Vacuum Pumps
A systematic maintenance and servicing of vacuum pumps helps to prevent breakdowns in production and improves the availability of the system.
Challenge
The final pressure reached and the pump-down curve of the vacuum pump are required for diagnosis and to carry out maintenance work. These factors provide crucial information about the condition and performance of the pump.
Solution
A VD85 vacuum meter with wide-range combination sensor is capable of capturing the minimum pressure of many pump types like diaphragm, scroll or rotary vane pumps. In addition, the device measures and – on demand - records the complete pump-down cycle from atmospheric pressure to end pressure. In this case, the vacuum meter works as a data logger saving the measurements in its internal data memory. Via USB interface the data can then be transmitted to a PC for further analysis and documentation.
