Benefits of VSP63DL at a glance
- Durable, elastic Pirani spiral coil filament
- Stable measurements due to optimized temperature compensation
- Integrated metal screen for protection against oil and solvent vapors
- Overpressure stability up to 16 bar
Dilatometry
For the analysis of the thermal dilation of extremely large samples, Linseis Messgeräte GmbH has developed a dilatometer as a custom product. With very large sample materials it is not possible to discover their structure in a small sample. This instrument allows the analysis of even large samples of up to 100 x 50 mm. The Macro dilatometer is used for testing fire-resistant products regarding their thermal expansion. The heating of the samples requires an oxygen-free atmosphere.
Challenge
A clean inert gas atmosphere is generated by completely evacuating the measuring chamber. During the whole process, the vacuum must be hold at 1e-5 mbar.
Solution
To monitor the vacuum in the measuring chamber, a precise VSP63DL Pirani vacuum transducer with an integrated display is used. The measuring values are sent to the Linseis analysis software with the 0-10 V interface of the vacuum transducer.
