Last week, the University of Passau was all about innovation and the spirit of research.
91 young scientists presented their creative projects at the Lower Bavarian regional Jugend forscht competition.
With a total of 51 projects, ranging from an intelligent bicycle helmet to innovative climate protection solutions, the competition offered an impressive variety of ideas and developments.
The competition
The Jugend forscht competition is one of the most important platforms for young researchers in Germany. It promotes innovative ideas, scientific work and technological developments.
Thyracont as sponsoring company
As one of the hosts on site, we were not only represented by a jury member, but also presented an honorary prize of 75 euros. This went to Stefan Weiß (18) in the Technology category and his project “3.5 Digit Precision Voltage Source”.
Bavarian state competition
The first-placed young researchers in the regional competition have qualified for the state competition at the beginning of April thanks to their outstanding achievements. There they have the chance to move on to the national finals in Hamburg at the end of May.
We would like to congratulate all the winners on their accomplishments and wish them every success in their future endeavors!
