This year’s company trip once again offered the perfect opportunity to step away from our daily routines and grow closer as a team.
At 8 am on Thursday, July 10th, we left Passau heading to Finsterau in the Bavarian Forest. There, a generous breakfast buffet at the National Park Café Wistlberg gave us the perfect start to the day.
Nature, Heritage and Herbal Wisdom
After breakfast, our team split into two groups:
Group 1 visited the Finsterau Open-Air-Museum, where some explored authentically restored farmhouses that showcased the rural history of the Bavarian Forest. The other part of the group joined a herbal workshop, learning about various regional herbs and their healing properties and turning them into syrup, cough drops and a tincture for headaches.
Group 2 headed straight into the Finsterauer Filz high moor. From there, we hiked up to the Siebensteinkopf summit. After a short rest and enjoying the scenic views, we trailed back down to the museum, as well.
Traditional Bavarian Food & Musik
Reunited, we enjoyed a traditional German dish at the rustic tavern “Ehrn”, that once welcomed farmers, craftsmen, and cart drivers. The “Reindlessen” – a variety of roasts, dumplings, and side dishes – was accompanied by authentic live music from Jonas and Sebastian.
A uniting Experience
The day not only strengthened our team spirit but also sparked good talks and released new energy. With fresh memories, we return to our daily work – ready to continue delivering the best possible service to our customers. (German version only)
